We aren't kidding -- you make your Google AdSense account, plug it into your profile where indicated and bamn! -- you're a part of our ad-revenue-generating network. The key now is, post as much and as often as you can!
The thing is, you want to create content that will get people to read. Pick something that you're genuinely interested in -- it'll be easy to write once you get into a rhythm, and have some real knowledge you can share to your target group.
The great thing is, you not only become a published expert (or at least an interesting voice) on your subject matter, but you obtain readers you might otherwise never have, from our captivated and growing community (which includes you and me!)
Poets, consultants, gossip hounds, industry specialists, musicians, event promoters all benefit from being able to choose what category best interests them ... and posting replies to others' blogs not only make great dialogue, but again, you're benefiting from the 'net's ad revenue streams while doing so.
So, how much should you write? Ideally, a few paragraphs is enough to get your thoughts out. But it can be as little as one paragraph, or as long as a page or chapter in a book. It's completely up to you.
We will point out that small, generic and banal blurbs won't get you a lot of interested readers (would YOU or your friends/associates flock to read an oft-repeated, cliched and unoriginal line like 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going'?) So try not to be a cynic ;). Although the more you write means the more the readership (and money) you can generate, anyone can tell if someone is just 'stuffing' their blog with useless pap, just to get content for money. Avoid it!
So, simply do the following:
1. Be brave. Your thoughts count as much as the next persons, and sometimes, controversy comes accidentally. If you have a point of view, spill it.
2. Be willing to share your knowledge on a topic that interests you. You may think no-one would care, but you'd be surprised how many people out there share your passion, but didn't think they could write about it -- until now.
3. Try to write at least once every couple of days. If you have interesting/supportive/funny audio (and later on, video) to accompany your post, upload 'er up. Multimedia can make a seemingly simple post into a ratings killer!
If any of you still have doubts as to how powerful a single blogger's stream of thought or knowledge can be, stay tuned to this page for real-life examples throughout the net that we'll post for your consideration.
